Kids can be a great source of laughs. Take, for example, this little episode from my 3-year-old last night.

*[son] on the toilet*

*goes*

*gets down and lifts his insert off the seat*

*sees that he didn’t get any pee on the seat*

*is disappointed*

*puts insert back on the seat and climbs back on*

*tries to pee, can’t*

[Son]: Mom, can you fix my wee wee?

[Wife]: What’s wrong with it?

[Son]: It won’t go pee.

*[Son] semi stands, lifts insert partially, checks for pee on the seat, sees none*

*starts to sit back down with fingers still between insert and seat*

*[Wife] moves in quickly to prevent him sitting and pinching his fingers*

*[Son], being a moody toddler, swipes at [Wife]*

*misses*

*falls off toilet*

Ha! Reminds me of my now 17 year old when he was a baby, “daddy my wee-wee hurts!”

I go check...um, one sec little guy, “Honey, our son has a little baby woodie and he says it hurts, you wanna handle that for him?”

OWWW!

“WHY DID YOU SMACK ME LIKE THAT, DAYUM! I WAS JOKING!”

The behavior that was responsible for his attitude is definitely not fun. The result, in this case, was.

My 3 year old’s favorite word is “impossible” which is pronounced impossi-broo, making everything funny/adorable. shoes? Impossibroo. pick up toys? impossibroo. put on your jacket? No daddy, that. is. impossibroo.

It’s a shame that stubborn disobedience doesn’t get cuter as they get older.

The other day my 8 year old was working on home work and spelt unity Younity.

Also a few days ago I was helping him on his bike(we’ve only had him for 5 months and before us no one taught him to ride a bike, still upset with my sister for that.) I he was getting frustrated that he could get up a bit of a hill so I gave him a push. However I forgot to warn him, and I pushed him to hard, he then fell off the bike and cried a but. He said “uncle Stephen you made me fall!” Then he got back on the bike and pedaled the rest of the way fueled by anger.

Sounds like your son learned a good self taught lesson. Don’t swipe at mommy. I’ve got three boys, the oldest is 4, then 3, then 8 or 9 months for the youngest. It’s fun to watch them learn. I’m a firm believer in self teaching too. Especially with the youngest. Poor little guy just started crawling and climbing. He face plants all the time, but he gets back up eventually. Definitely more hands off with number three. So much fun though, and stress, and laughs, and sleepless nights. Wouldn’t trade em for anything.

Also, I have a big Dave and busters ball that I recreate that gif to a tee, but the boys love it, they get up giggling and laughing. So much fun.

My daughter will chase the cat around ‘roaring’ at it because she thinks it’s hilarious. She also picked up a baby monitor and pretended to talk to my mom, where she proceeded to say “nana, what’s your name? ... Popsicle?! That’s a weird name!” For her bday, she got a praying doll from her great grandparents. Well, guess who prayed over dinner that night? The doll.

I have a ton, because my kid is quite adventurous and weird, makes me proud in a way. :)
