Added the second layer yesterday, added resin to a couple dry spots today, cut it to shape and removed the foam. Little final cutting required on leading edge. I ordered door trim to hold the layers together on the leading edge... I’ll probably just use duct tape for the back side. After that it’ll be done and I can just bolt in place when desired. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Time to transition to making a CR-style wing... that will have to be far more precise and perfect, not just functional and durable. For that I’ll bondo over and perfectly sand the Styrofoam plug, use a really light carbon weave to adhere to the curves and leave the core intact for extra rigidity. Mounts and reinforcement will take some consideration... adjustable would be nice, over the counter would be convenient.

Don’t use duct tape, it has really poor long-term adhesive durability. Last thing you need is strips of tape with dried glue on them flapping around under the car and getting tangled in the pulleys.

That’s a fair point, though I’ll only be using it on occasion and could periodically replace the tape; a more durable option would be better though.
