Apparently Buick is launching a new Enclave at the New York Auto Show? And (get this) its Avenir sub brand with them showing an Enclave Avenir. So Buick is positing Avenir to be their sub brand that makes Buicks more posh? This is the first I’m hearing of this and Im actually surprised.

They could make slightly-less-posh Buicks, and even add some sporty ones- then call them Oldsmobile and Pontiac. You could even polish some of the cheaper turds and market them as, I don’t know, Saturns?

The Avenir sub-brand news was posted on the FP a few months ago. As for news of the next Enclave, the FP would have to give a shit about Buick first, to post news about it. Pisses me off that they don’t.

I dont think it will be. They have to hit the ground running to make people consider them as near luxury. And near luxury, depending on the nameplate is pretty much luxury, so there for competitive.

Oh I must’ve missed it. But I agree with you about the Enclave. Its always been a favorite of mine and I had been waiting for a next gen. Its been the best of the Lambda platformed crossovers.
