The seller did that BS putting other makes in the listing, so it came up while I was looking at Jags. I know nothing about Mercedes, but it looks sweet and it’s cheap.

The 240D is a car that will run forever, was overbuilt, but is very, very, slow.

What about the rusted out fender(s)? Like the one in this pic the seller forgot to mention.

You mean speed holes?

Might be a nice old car, but the dirty tex, crooked looking bumper end, and a little rust keep it from “mint”. My fintail will accelerate like a Veyron compared to this.

From an era when any 0-60 time in single digits was considered pretty respectable, and it’s slow by THOSE standards. Guessing 0-60 is in the 15-18 second range??

Issues in the rear quarters too, count on it. Possibly also the floor.

0-60 in the 20 second range. I had one for a little while. It’s essentially un-drivable in modern traffic. At least trying to merge into traffic at speed in the DC metro area. It’s almost like driving a model T in modern traffic. Dangerous.
If you’re going for a Sunday drive over to Cars & Coffee and taking side roads, it’s all good. Driving it as a daily = death trap in big city traffic.
