I presume it’s just a part of people becoming less and less adventurous with their color choices. Seas and seas of silver, grey, white and black out there. After 11 years, the silver color of my ‘06 Sierra bores me to tears. My next truck will be blue ... maybe green or possibly red, but probably a nice bright blue. If I decide to get a Ford, they do offer grey on the bottom under the blue in certain option packages ... for now at least. That will be ... sometime in the distant future or maybe never.

Yeah ours is a ‘97 F350 Crew Cab 4x4 7.3 Powerstroke. The truck is a beast and has taken us all over the North American Continent. My dad still DDs it. It is going up to Oregon with him though, so maybe time for a rebuild and some Banks parts ;)

Doubles on tap are totally irregular here. With the weather improving it’s just waiting to return to the beer monastery. They do have a Westmalle Trappist Dubbel on tap. Still I prefer their Drevenier .

That would be nice. If I spend any money on bodywork it will be to get the rocker panel rust that’s starting to pop fixed, and a new drivers door. The inside bottoms of GMT-800's are very rust prone, but only the drivers door on mine has been affected. Also, it’s never sealed the same since the time when it was a couple years old, and I locked my keys in it. The road service guy used an air bag to pry the top of the door frame open to pop the lock, it’s bind wind-noise city in there ever since.

I love them too, my dad had an ‘82 4.9 single cab bullnose from ‘84 through high school, then got a ‘93 2wd 5.0 extended cab, super clean. Wanted one ever since. This one isn’t perfect by any means, but $2200 for a 5.0 4x4 with 135k miles in funky colors was right up my alley.

If you need rust-free west coast parts, let me know! Two of my guys drive 800's, and there’s no shortage of parts. I’ve had to get into cars with inflatable wedges before, kind of depends on the car if they need to be realigned or not. Might be worth grabbing the door at the top and pulling hard inward.

Might be expensive for a door because it’s heavy with all the trimmings, but stuff like fenders maybe not.
Worst that could happen is it gets better! I’ve done it, you don’t have to go full Hulk on it, sometimes just holding the door against your knees while giving the top a solid tug or two inward does it.

They may, but they’d probably be bare doors in primer. Probably easier and cheaper to go used, it’s not like there’s a shortage of these trucks. The four-doors may be a little harder, I guess.

It’s the front door I need. Around here the doors are all rusty, so I’ll have to figure out if it’d be cheaper to have you ship me a used door, or buy a new one in primer and have it painted and installed.
