After living in Wisconsin my entire life, I really should know that winter isn’t over until a month after you think it is. I’ll be putting winter tires back on my wife’s car today...

I was really hoping to wash my car and get it off the snows while I was home this week but it is going to be well below freezing and snowing this week. Looks like I am going to be driving a filthy car on snow tires until late May.

Glad I didnt bother waxing mine, but I did spend like an hour hand washing my car for the first time since November. Scraped some rust off too and put on some paint. Then I find out there is 6-12 inches of snow and cold temps ahead this week! So I guess I just wont drive for a while lol.

If only they just didnt salt any roads. Sure most people would have a bad time with their bald no season tires, but at least my car wouldnt rust away!

It’s inevitable that we get at least six inches of snow every time someone swaps out their winter tires. It also nearly always snows here May long weekend. Hell, I’ve seen snow in July and August, although never in significant quantities.

It’s like 70 here north of SF, totally different than a few days ago. It was 48 the other morning.

Last year I caused a late season snow storm by putting the snow blower away early, this year the tires did it. Maybe next year I’ll wait until May before I prepare for spring.

It was 70 in Wisconsin two weeks ago, then consistently 40s so I figured it was safe. I was wrong.
