Out of all of the Scion FR-Ss I’ve seen over the past couple of years (which hasn’t been many, admittedly) only one hadn’t had the Toyota 86 badges swapped on.

Well yeah, you’re not wrong. I’m just not sure why.

I just saw a blue one today, but it was not as stock as that one.

I’ve got one of those Hondacura Civintegras in my neighborhood badged as a Honda. Never stopped to take a photo, now I don’t have to. Thanks!

This is the first rebadge of them I’ve seen in the wild. I like it.

That car looks like its owner cares. Yeah, the tires are a bit fluffy, but the height, the wheel choice, the everything. Nice car.

Honestly, Toyota badges really look better. Just from a design standpoint.

135i right? How’s that been?

It’s been great to be honest. Reliable so far (done 30k km on it), all the usual bolt on mods (mhd, cp, bov, downpipes, FMIC), cosmetics and preventative maintenance (walnut blasting, coils etc). Done a few track days and lots of long comfy drives. Do you still have the 335i?

Good to hear it’s been reliable. Love that color! Especially with the wheels. Nice mod list, I’m sure it’s very fun to drive. Yup I’m still driving the 335i, just crossed 78k about a week ago. Had a really big itch to go MHD + FMIC after swapping my chargepipe when the stock one cracked, getting that same itch again haha.

Definitely go mhd, very cheap easy way to unlock power and you can activate pops/crackles from the exhaust which is fun. FMIC I don’t think is really worth it unless you go to the track. Downpipes first. We pretty much have same mileage =)

Would you really say the FMIC is unnecessary? I don’t plan on tracking, but i constantly find my oil temps reaching the 250 degree mark in late spring/summer when I’m daily driving in traffic.

This is the mileage where we have to start doing preventative maintenance to ensure the cars stay reliable, the car is so fun it’s all worth it!

Hmm that’s fairly high, I only ever get that much on the track even in sunny Australia. I did notice it improved with the fmic though so I guess go for it. Just make sure you get one that fits the factory clamps since its a much easier job to install, very easy DIY. The Wagner one has perfect figment, I just got a HPF cooler used from a mate, did require some minor trimming but not horrible. And nothin you can notice external.

Because the dc5 didn’t have any chassis specific upgrades there are a few type r conversions running around, just like the real thing but with lhd, so much want!!

Thanks for the advice. I was leaning towards a Wagner, they look very well built. My car has the stock oil cooler so I was a bit perplexed as to why it runs so hot. Everything is fine and checks out, yet it’ll hit 240~ in traffic consistently in the summer.

Reminds me I need to do that on my Integra. I’m just worried the paint underneath the Acura logo will be a different shade and’ll look sloppy.

Also you get a red squiggly line for Integra, but not and’ll. Which I’m pretty sure isn’t a proper contraction.
