Nothing kills me more than when I park in the furthest corner of the lot to avoid dings and someone is parked next to me when I go back out. It’s always a ratty beater too.

The longer I own my /M, the more I realize a respray might be in the my future. Paintless dent removal and paint correction + clearcoat are planned and will likely keep it going another ~40K miles. The front bumper has been taking a beating with DD duties.
Interlagos blue again or something wild like technoviolet? silver also looks great on these cars. Part of me finds it sacrilegious to break from the original color.

A good quality paint job for the whole car would probably be too much, so I’d probably just do the hood and front clip respray.

There is also the idea of wrapping it - both to improve the looks (short term) and protect the paint beneath it while I do more HPDE days

If you’re thinking of paying for XPEL anyway, a wrap isn’t that much more, but still $3-4k, I’m guessing, for a car my size.

I’ve actually been looking at supercharged BRZs and modified ND Miatas a lot myself lately - ha! Light makes right, and getting a used BRZ/FR-S for like $15k is very tempting. First year NDs will drop to that range before long.

I was actively engaging sellers with used BRZ blue series before cooler heads prevailed and I decided not to revisit the FT86 platform (for now). I think it’s the best option sub 20K and presents a much more modern experience than the S2000 or Fiesta ST.
Realistically the Z4M is going nowhere. It’s replacement needs to be equally unique (full of character), a decent performer, MT, and DIY friendly. I prefer to choose new or 1-owner next time around - so it could be a while.
