I’ve never used it, but faced with attending a wedding in Austin, TX at the end of the month, I’d rather rent a stranger’s Kia for $23/day than Alamo’s Mitsubishi for $67/day. This wedding is expensive enough as it is... Is it reliable? Will I be ruined by hidden fees?

Have you tried price line name your own? I tend to get cheap rentals that way

I am amazed at the price of that rental. I usually go for the mid range on rentals and its never been over 35$ a day.

For some reason, Austin thinks it’s special... I rented a crew cab Ecopoop F-150 for $37/day last year in Savannah, GA.

Just tried it... Got it down to $30/day but with the usual $50+ in fees. I’m trying to squeeze this wedding in under $1,100. So far it’s looking like $502 for the flight, $65/day for the hotel, and $250 for the tux rental. Factor in food/drinks for the trip... well, I’d sure like to make the car as cheap as possible.

Rent Lance’s Mustang GT from turo if you’re in Austin and it’s available. Great deal, super nice guy, think I got out for like $60/day.
