Which Museum?

My family will be in Stuttgart for one day in about two weeks. This will be daddy’s day to pick the museum and it will be either Porsche or Mercedes. Who’s been and which is the best?

Porsche has cooler race cars, Mercedes is gigantic.

I went to the Porsche museum during the winter break and I can say you won’t be disappointed if you choose it.

MB, but I am biased.

Actually if you have time, they are both doable in a day, they aren’t insanely far apart.

Neither, take a quick drive up the Autobahn to the Sinsheim transport museum.. far, far better museum, and you can fill a day of it. However if you can’t get out of Stuttgart, for the day, then it depends. The Porsche Museum to me has a much better quality cars on display, but is pretty small. So basically it’s just the best of what Porsche has for display. Mercedes Benz Museum, is much bigger, but I was not as impressed with it. So if you only can do one then I guess it depend, do you want to milk the time you have, do MB. If you don’t mind that your choice for the day will be over and done with quickly do the Porsche Museum.

I’ve been to both, and I can safely say that both will be very worth your time. however, while Porsche has more interesting cars, their exhibit is quite a bit smaller than that of Mercedes, which in itself is quite large. I will say that Mercedes headquarters has a very large dealership connected to the museum, so afterwards, you are able to go in and sit in every car and play around with it. overall, I say that Mercedes has a more interesting place, and more time will be spent at Mercedes than porsche

Note: if you end up going to Mercedes, look out for the many prototypes they are testing

Sinsheim is definitely worth a trip, for the military vehicles and Concorde/Tupolev alone.

I’ve been to both and I would say the MB museum. It’s bigger and has a wider range of cars. Also the building itself is pretty cool.
