I still don’t get why they didn’t sell the Scirrco in the US. We got the freaking Eso, and Beetle convertible, but no Scirrco.

I suppose they thought the market would justify the cost of making it meet US regulations. They did the first Scirocco and the Corrado so I expect the results of those experiences put them off the idea.
