The only good In-N-Out fries are animal fries!
Next week I’m flying down to CA where our HQ there is a few blocks from an In-N-Out. Last time I was there I disappeared for lunch for an hour and sat in the sun eating my double double, animal fries, and shake. I did zero work the rest of the afternoon nursing that food coma.
During this trip I’m doing this stupid food elimination experiment with my wife where we’re eating like chipmunks for 3 weeks (and slowly reintroducing things one by one after to assess food sensitivities)...it’s going to take all my will power to stay away from that In-N-Out. At least it’s supposed to be a very busy work trip, so hopefully I won’t even have the time for temptation.
Or maybe I’ll just text my wife that afternoon saying “experiment results are in early. In-N-Out is delicious and it makes me sleepy as fuck!”.

So jealous right now. I moved to the Midwest almost 5 years ago and I’m still going through In n Out withdrawl. And Weinerscnitzel. There’s one in Champaign IL and I’m tempted to make a full-tank day trip just for a taste of home.

I once looked at all of the places I was willing to relocate to for work, and they made a nice span from Vancouver BC down to San Diego. About 5 years ago an opportunity to relocate to the Midwest came up and I was ready for a change after decades in SoCal. It’s home now, but if I could justify moving back to SoCal I might, but I’m not actively seeking that out at the moment.
