I’m up before the sun and getting ready to head down to the Grand Prix Of St. Petersburg!

Three days of loud and fast! Right down the street! The camera is packed and ready. Pictures will be posted from each day, probably scheduled for the following morning, with the occasional field report throughout the day if I stumble across something fun. And there are lots of fun things at the track.

I was right outside the fence yesterday, looking around for property corners, when BWAAAAAH! this grey McLaren goes blasting by on the track on the other side of the fence. He did two laps while I was in the vicinity. That was the only car I saw on the track yesterday.

The Thursday running is sparse. From my house I could tell they did significantly less this year. Today has been action packed. Only one proper race, PWC GTS. Everything else is practice and qualifying.

Can’t wait to see all the photos! My weekend is going to be another round of street photography in Chicago since they are doing St. Patrick’s Day stuff a week early...

I took too many pictures for one day. I never thought I’d say that, but I did. Keep in mind, I did a lot of burst shooting, so most of the pictures are crap. But I still have to sort through them all.
