I’ve got a pretty good life. But I would trade it in a second to be Ralph Gilles!

So sitting behind a desk replying to e-mails. He’s also CEO, so he can’t play with cars all the time.

I currently sit behind a desk most days replying to emails, drafting things, etc. But usually it’s people asking for me to do things. I think I’d rather be the asker than the askee. And he gets to play with cars a lot more than I currently do. And his cars are better cars.

Voodoo is a really cool car. It is not stock by any means either.

Fun fact: When Ralph took delivery of Voodoo, he obviously couldn’t track the car with 0 miles, so he swapped the motor with his other Gen 5 Viper that was already broken in (because the ACR is really just an aero/tire package) and actually smashed up one of his fingers in the process.

Also, I got to hang out in his trailer once. That dude seriously lives the life. Great sense of humor, extremely humble, but the best part is that he absolutely lives the whole FCA brand. We spotted a Prowler at Watkin’s Glen, and he was almost glued to it for a while. He was a bit perplexed by my Magnum, but we just didn’t have the time to take it for a spin or talk about it much. I also didn’t want to be in the way, so I hung out a bit and had an amazing time, but didn’t want to talk his ear off. Next time I guess.

Another fun fact, I have never seen a larger rooster tail in the rain from any other car on a track compared to Voodoo. Them 335 tires are honestly impressive for a car most people would be terrified to drive in the rain on normal roads.
