In this case, specifically referring to people doing dumb things at meets.

Kinja'd!!!

This post is creating a small stir as some feel that the perpetrators should have been approached privately. Also some are getting their feelgoods hurt by the Civic comment, but that’s not the point.

Nashville CnC is big on the public shaming for people who act like idiots at the event. Typically a picture or video is posted, if it’s illegal the police are notified, and they are called out on their facebook page. It is effective for keeping the event going and keeping it safe. I enjoy the pot getting stirred by it as well.

Is this always the right choice? nah

Same in Omaha. We had such a big deal a year or so ago with muscle car bros showing up and driving like buffoons, they actually changed the name and attendance policy of the event to discourage them from coming.

“Totes cray-cray” means eating crawfish while wearing comfortable slippers, right?

That, or eating an entire tote full of crawfish.

Most recipients of such public shaming deserve it. No doubt those whining for a public shaming are connected to the perps.

And nobody has a right to not be offended (not even British/Canadian/Oz people).

We had some Dodge guys, one was a v6 if rumors are true, who almost pulled a mustang last weekend. It’s caused a very big stir!

If it’s a public event, public shaming is okay. Hooliganism could ruin the fun for everyone, so I think it’s a fair trade off to call people out and say “don’t do this again”.

Public shaming is just self-regulation of society. It’s not bullying. Done correctly, it prevents the need for legislation and police action. It’s been around forever. We need more people throwing rotten fruit at Mustangs.

Is it not wrong to punch a Mustang driver. In fact, it is our moral imperative to punch Mustang drivers.

This is a key reason why I support it. With how many events regularly lose their locations over this thing, I think being a little mean is necessary to get the point across.

Basically shrimp, but harder to eat. Lots of seasoning and some beer always helps :D

Shall we go directly to the police next time, so you get cited for reckless driving? Perhaps you prefer that, or perhaps you may prefer that we ask the police to drop in a patrol unit at our next meet—so many choices; let us know!

How do you rotate your tires in non stationary position? Even Nascar and F1 pit crew guys are in stationary position at some point, even though those guys are very fast.
