Kinja'd!!!

Replaced faulty MAP sensor on our Hyundai, and finally fixed the signals on the Volvo.

MAP sensor was quick and easy, hardest part was finding it. Signals, on the other hand, took me about a year. Working 60 hours a week, moving, starting another project, and the onset of winter greatly hindered progress.

Whilst tracing wires, I just happened across this relay screwed into a strut tower. A quick post to my local Volvo FB community confirmed that it was in fact not OEM, and that the blue wire is typically for signals. Blue wire went into the cabin, where I searched and found this:

Did a quick dirty splice to be sure, and the Volvo blinked away! Now I just need to properly join the wires, button her up, and I can (hopefully) DD my 850 once more.

I feel you. It took me a year to replace the turn signal relay on one of my cars.
