I was going to write up a how to or best/safe method of cleaning a car but the car had some stubborn grime that didn’t want to shift and stopping to take pictures got annoying rapidly.

Have a wash dump of four hours well spent. Interior just had regular foot mud transfer on the floor and seat backs.

As you can see, quite grimy.

Pre-wash, rinse, pre-wash, rinse, 2BM shampoo wash, rinse.

de-tar.

Remove fallout.

Wheels done.A lot of grime came out of the tyres but as you can see, some still remains.

Two bucket method working.

Wash bucket.

Rinse bucket.

Always amazes me that people buy white cars and don’t realise that they quickly look like crap if they aren’t kept meticulously clean, all those little nooks and crannies that you wouldn’t notice much if not cleaned on pretty much any other colour stand out like a sore thumb on white cars.

Outstanding as always!

I haven’t given my car a proper wash in probably almost 20 months (or more). And it’s black. Yeah, it does look like hell.

Do you enjoy doing this, or do you do it as a way of supplemental income?

I’ve looked after her cars every two or so months for the last four or five years. With the weather we’ve had and then circumstances of her best friend’s father dying, her not being well and even last week her husband’s van packed in on the way to Birmingham (fuel injector seal or something) it hadn’t been done since before christmas.

Autofinesse ObliTARate. It’s fantastic, spray on, let it do it’s thing and then wife off. Large bits of tar may need broken up or another application.

Hey guys!

Sorry for posting this as a comment but I don’t know how to make real posts on this website.

I live in NC and have been planning to buy and import a POLSKI FIAT 126 P. I think that car is really neat and ties in well into my proud Polish heritage. While looking for some resources to research the car I found a review posted on this website http://oppositelock.kinja.com/fiat-126p-town-a-detailed-oppo-review-1716895942

Is there a way I can contact the author of that review and ask him or her some questions? I could really use the help because it’s not that easy to find good information about that car in English.

I know, I know but the weather has been awful and cold!

I’m off next week so hopefully will give it a (half) decent going over myself, already got a pressure washer, need new buckets and some more citrus degreaser concentrate.

Am going to need to seal the paintwork on the i3 pretty much as soon as we get it in a week, nothing nicer than brand new paintwork!

Your best bet might be to try posting in someones thread around 3am U.K. time/10pm U.S. east coast time as that’s when the U.S. seem to be online the most and a mod may see or someone will give a mod a heads up.
