Yesterday I showed you a really nasty Sonata we got into the shop. Now this thing will just need a run through the detail shop and it’ll be ready to hit the lot.

Not a huge fan of how Hyundai executed this two toned interior but I AM a fan of how your shop replicated the idea with the seats.

I hope the company that bought this got a screaming deal on it. I imagine even with the leather that thing smells awful inside. You mentioned that the door cards would be replaced as well. I can only assume it will come with new plastics or will you at least be able to clean up those horrible arm rests?

It’s headed back to the dealer as is. Their detailers will work the nastiness off of the plastic as much as they can.

*EDIT*

When we do door panels, we pull them off, take them apart, and put vinyl over the factory cloth that is installed on them. Door panels are incredibly expensive for what they are. And they take forever to come in from Hyundai.

Steve, I’m in the Charlotte area and might be looking to do some leather and heated seats in my Camaro. Thoughts? 2016 Camaro 1LT. Just in the thinking/pricing stages. What kind of leather do you guys use?

Leather is $999 for a single color. I could add heat for $399. If you want something more than just basic black we can work something out though. Our parent company is Roadwire. Lifetime warranty and kits generally fit better than Katzkin.

Thank you for the information! I likely would only do the front seats for now because literally no one uses the back seats. For they are unusable. Haha. I will look into it. Heat is my big thing. I don’t necessarily NEED the leather though. Is the heat something you can add to the Camaro with Cloth seats? And where would the buttons go?

Front row only isn’t a great idea. I’d have to charge like $800 because they charge us by the piece if we don’t order a whole kit. Better to just spend the extra $200

If we installed the seat heaters under cloth they’d feel a little warmer than under leather but it’d be fine. The switch is a 3-way rocker about the size of a dime. If there’s a factory knockout where it’ll fit it goes there. If not it’ll either go on the center console or the side of the seat.

This is the boss’ car. He really needs to clean it out

That’s a 16-17 Camaro front backrest we ordered a while back. It ended up going to a different branch.

Through the shop we could do $399 plus tax. It takes about an hour and a half or so
