Kinja'd!!!

Damn you Oppo. Another buy that was TOTALLY necessary as I’ve never owned a true JDM car. It left Amagasaki for the Kobe harbor today where it will leave Japan the 17th of March. Destination: Northern Europe. That will take a while... Not sure if it’s a Jalop car but I’m pretty excited to get it anyway.

And that’s quite the cool car transporter they’re using. Thanks Flavien !

Well, that’s an innovative way to decrease the slope of the ramps, not sure if it’s the easiest, but very cool.

I’m pretty sure driving a Pao in Europe is quite a Jalop thing to do, not that you need those extra Jalop points...

Nice for parallel parking though.

Let’s just see how easy it will be to get it registered over here...

Old, small engine, shouldn’t be hard, right? Even here, this thing would be easy. Then again, we just have the random 25 year rule bought and paid for by corporate overlords. I know Yourup can have even sillier rules brought forth by guilted social engineering desires. Good luck!

It has to be pretty narrow, I bet you can just lean across the seats.

We had the car this one was based on over here, the March/Micra, so it shouldn’t be that hard. Other then changing the headlights I can’t think of anything...

If it is that narrow even taking over won’t be that hard! I know Figaro drivers often have this extractable arm/grip for leaving car parkings in their cars. Should get one of those!

Kinja'd!!! "Jonee" (Jonee)
05/01/2017 at 23:34, STARS: 2

That was apparently microphone feedback and an old film projector.

[Sound designer] Ben Burtt was still a graduate student at USC and was working as a projectionist. An old projector had an interlocked motor which, when idle, made a “wonderful humming sound.” Burtt recorded it, and it became the basis of the lightsaber sound. But it wasn’t enough — he needed a buzzing sound, and he actually found it by accident. Walking by television set with a live microphone, the microphone picked up the transmission from the unit and produced a buzz. Burtt loved it, recorded it, and combined it with the projector motor, creating a new sound that became the basic lightsaber tone. To achieve the aural effect of a lightsaber moving, he played the hum out of a speaker and waved a microphone by it; doing so created the fascimile of a moving sound, and in this case, the sound of a Jedi or Sith wielding a weapon in battle.

I imagine it’s the gun itself that makes the noise. Like, a bullet doesn’t go “bang,” the gun does. Light, or energy beams, or whatever they are, shouldn’t make any sound, I wouldn’t think. Nor would the explosions if they happen in space, but that doesn’t stop them from adding sound effects.
