The only thing that’d put me off is that this one apparently only has the small engine: the 7 litre V12 out of their offshore powerboats was also available. I completely don’t understand why you’d buy a monstrosity like this and not tick ALL the options boxes. The original owner must have been a cheapskate.

I think I agree with you, but...
We were on holiday in the south of Portugal, stopped for a walk on the beach... and in the parking lot I saw an orangey-red LM002 with gold wheels.
A couple of hours later we drove off and were lazily ambling along the longish straight when we heard the noise. It was both intoxicating and terrifying, the kind that raises the hair on the back of your neck. The owner had decided he was in a hurry so he overtook us at a truly impossible speed. It all was absolutely hysterical: a wall of sound –of a thoroughbred Italian V12 going full tilt, no less– coming from this huge brick with wheels which was accelerating towards us at a astonishing rate.
I think I somehow understood the LM002 a bit better after that.
