Can we cook chicken fingers in a toaster?

This is the second evening of all the highways being closed. We didn’t really get all that much snow, but the 50mph winds aren’t leaving it in one place. Zero visibility and zero traction due to the freezing rain under the fresh snow don’t make for good driving.

I snowshoed to work today, more for the sake of doing it than actual necessity.

Update:

Four pop-up cycles at full strength, (with a minute to cool between because I have no idea what the duty cycle of the cheapest toaster you can buy is) and the IR thermometer shows an internal temp of 82°C. Not burnt on the exterior, so... If it’s stupid but it works?

The oven feels like overkill. The microwave seems... Wrong somehow and I expected it to make them mushy. But it seems to have worked out.

Yeah it hasn’t been quite so bad up here as it was further south, I think the mountain kinda sheltered us a bit. Brandon’s been absolutely hammered this year.

I once made KD (cheese and all) in my roommate’s kettle. He wasn’t happy, but he also never did dishes and had used all our pots that week so they were all dirty.

He did start doing his dishes after that, though. I mean I did have to re-wash half of them before I used them but at least they were in the cupboard and not under a gross stack in the sink.

Hmm. I’ve never really considered it. Chicken fingers seem to need more sweet and flavourful I think, but maybe I’ll give it a shot next time.

I buy the “McD” style preformed “hash brown” patties and do the same thing. The only problem is the grease that drips out while cooking.
