I watched this video when it first came out, and I have honestly only ever heard the farming explanation from this video, before or since. Maybe it’s because I know my history, or maybe because my dad’s entire family were farmers. Either way, DST is massively stupid.

Actually you just reminded me I missed one clock: my thermostat. It does have a built-in DST automatic switch, but it was programmed for BEFORE the 2007 change, so I can only disable it and change it manually. And it was manufactured after that in 2012.
Good job, Honeywell. Good fucking job.

I only bother with my alarm clock and the one on the stove. the rest either change themselves (phone, PC, DVR) or I don’t even bother setting the time at all (toaster oven, microwave.)
