Will determine if I get to continue studying design at Appalachian State University. I’m concentrating in furniture, which is a smaller group (only about 8 in my class), so I’m pretty much guaranteed to get in. Still nervous. Here it is as a PDF. You can see progression in my work throughout, still getting better with every class. My goal is to be hireable by the time I graduate.

I had a really hard time getting the proportions right. For a while it was 6 feet in diameter. I have a little book about comfortable seating heights and proportions and it was fun to get the numbers close while keeping the form within the aesthetically pleasing range.

That would be great, I’m always open to seeing other people’s work. Admittedly there is a lot of stuff in this that I’m a little embarrassed of, but I have 2 years to make more professional work.

It was more of an exercise in lamination and finsihing. Learned some bondo techniques and was able to get a nice finish on them. But yeah, definitely one of the less good things I’ve done.
