1996 Subaru Outback. This thing was very capable, and pretty reliable, and not special in any way. Honestly the only thing I remember from 1.5 years of ownership was that over 3500 rpms the engine really woke up and it pulled surprisingly well.
It was the only vehicle I owned that I didn’t have a name for.

2012 Escape
It was lovely. Leather, loaded with options. Plenty of space to haul things if need be. The black had a nice metallic in it. It however was just a vehicle to do vehicle stuff.

My current 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx is quite forgettable, but has been terribly useful over the years. It’s great having a hatchback in which all the seats can be folded down. I once hauled a 28' extension ladder with it. I think about 5 feet hung out the hatch.

To be honest tho, few cars I had to look back on and soak them in for a bit. Jaguar XJR was one of my favorite cars to “park”. The paint was always so smooth. Ran back of my hand on that front fender. Smoother than silk.
Quirky cars were annoying AF. Had to look back to see what junk it was. For instance, some Buick Park Ave had light switch on the door rather than dashboard. Every time I had to park on of these, I turned either blinker or windshield wiper. (Of course I fell in love with Park Ave when I owned one)
Screw driver in ignition cars I had to glance over a few times to see if I saw anything that indicated a stolen car.
But to answer your question, Saturn anything - never looked back at the damn thing.

I know exactly what old pathfinder looks like. Take badges off a new one and put it in a lineup with other cars without badges that look like it, I won’t be able to pick it out.

When you say look back, you mean to take a second glance because you’re just so enamored with how it looks? I will say every car I’ve had falls into that category. I’ve just never really had an exciting car.
Looking back (no pun intended) I had a few that I should have appreciated more (85 CRX, 85 Prelude, 91 318i).
What do you mean when you say best? I guess the “best” (in terms of value) that I don’t really feel the need to look back on is my ‘15 Civic.

Honestly, probably my Miata. Mine was a NC1 generation (2006), finished in silver. Lots of fun behind the wheel, infinitely reliable, but not particularly good-looking, to be honest.
