Kinja'd!!!

Because I’m still processing Logan . Also, these are the only two shots I could find of the ‘25 Chrysler limo pre-destruction.

Kinja'd!!!

I like the Continentalesque fender fins. The grin is a little goofy.

Anyway, feel free to use the comments to discuss post- Logan healing.

I did not like that limo. Looked way too low-budget, and also just downright ugly.

So, realistically, a Chrysler limo from 2025?

I haven’t seen it yet. But I want someone to talk about Get Out! I saw that this weekend instead. It was so good!

I heard that’s really good, too. So many movies on my to-do list. Heh.

They stole the nose off the Avanti. It looked like a weird studebaker, lincoln continental, and 300 love child.

Logan was insanely good, great story telling and I may have had a little eye condensation...totally makes up for Wolverine origins.

My issue with the limo is it was the only futurecar, and it was five years old. All the other cars were 12+ years old (not uncommon for the average person, but law enforcement typically has newer vehicles)

Oh and identifying the car by the lug nuts bothered me too

Those automated semis were new.

I thought the choice of “old” cars was interesting. Well, it was probably a budget choice, but I got the feeling that America wasn’t doing so hot financially. The farm equipment was automated, of course, and it made me wonder if people in general didn’t have much money for new cars.

But they didn’t mind because they had all their mutant gene energy drinks.

More future cars would’ve been cool, though.

Oh yeah, forgot those cargo boxes, those were kind of weird.

I’m not saying I wanted more futurecars, I feel like putting all that time into goofy cars would have detracted from the look and feel of the film ( which I really enjoyed)

I would have been ok if they said it was 2029 and there were no futuristic cars, nothing else in the world has really changed that much

I saw both this weekend. They were both good. Get out was a better crafted movie as i thought logan was a little clumsy sometimes (too many acts, yet still felt rushed, emotional ending didn’t quite hit for me.) But I still enjoyed Logan more. Mind you Get Out was also excellent.

I really enjoyed it. It was nice to finally have a rated R movie for what i think of as a rated R character frequently caught in a PG universe.

Also, patrick stewart fucking brought it. Like, hot damn. In fact, most of the acting was really good except for a few moments at the end (the kids...weren’t the greatest actors and there was a little bit of australian accent creep in a few lines)

My main complaints are that i thought it was too long and that I thought the ending was a little contrived and didn’t make a whole ton of sense. In fact, I thought the last 1/4 of the movie was significantly weaker than the rest of it. Not nearly enough to ruin what was a fantastic movie going experience, but there were some plot holes (spoilers now) like....the canadian border was REALLY that well guarded? These guys killed like an army of rednecks with no consequences, they can go a few feet over the border to catch some kids. Also, a stick through the chest? Dude has adimantium in his rib cage. Adimantium bullet was dumb too.

I think the pacing would’ve been better as a mini series. There was so much (mostly really good) plot packed into a 2 and a half hour movie. It managed to feel both rushed and long at the same time.

Still. Lots of fun and actually good at the same time. Hard to accomplish.

Good point about the stick. The bullet, we know from the lore, would work, but I’m not sure it would destroy half the head like that.

The movie blew ass plot wise, I posted a rant about it. The Huge Jacked Man (tm) is still my favorite though.

I think I read your rant, and I didn’t agree with all of your points. But yes, HJM will be missed.
