They need to focus on making it feel like it’s worth the up charge. Untill they make the interiorsame match the rest of the car it will continue to sell poorly.

I would even argue in some cases it’s worse than its platform mates...

no doubt about that. The ATS feels like a Malibu on the inside and not even a current one. the interior is such a turn off on these things it would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. mechanically they are great! they compete strongly in the exterior and mechanical aspects of their segment. but it would be hard to jusify over their competitors if you comparing them on how they feel to be inside of.

typical GM 80% of the way they just give up. in this case that last 20% is the interior. not a good place to slack off in a market segment where most buys are concerned with how they look and feel to spend time inside. You can’t ask them to pay luxury prices but not offer a real luxury interior.

Lansing Delta is where they build the Lambda triplets (Acadia, Traverse, Enclave). With the Acadia production moving to Spring Hill, TN (along with the Cadillac XT5) there are fewer numbers of SUVs being produced there. Lansing Grand River is where the Alpha-platform cars are made.
