Just looked up prices on H3T’s. People want crazy stupid money for these.

Kinja'd!!!

Decade old truck with 100,000-150,000 miles? That’ll be $20,000-30,000 please.

There’s an ‘09 with 177k where I live. Bone stock aside from smoked tails and corners. I think they are asking $22k for it. Not bad I don’t guess considering that was the final year and less than 5,500 were made that year. These have held their values in the same way that FJ’s have, except these were produced even less than the FJ. My wife wants one badly.

117k on that ‘09, not 177k. That would indeed be a stupid price if that was the case.

There were a couple H3T Alpha’s for sale here a few months back... Both going for $35,000+ and both were gone within a week.

Here’s another. It’s lasted a weirdly long time though. Wonder if there’s something wrong...

But it’s nearer to a Colorado

This is true and fucking crazy.

A 4x4 HD Silverado will do everything the H3 truck can do but way cheaper.

Unfortunately you’re dealing with a limited-run semi desirable vehicle. The H3 is the least unpractical (and imo best looking) Hummer. The H3T is even better. This results in a small truck that holds value better than a Taco, which is unfortunate for those of us who have been waiting for them to depreciate, cause they aren’t gonna for a long time.

Except maybe narrow trails. The H3T is wider than the original Colorado, but about the same as the new one. Which is still narrower than the Silverado, and especially an HD Silverado. Which despite the truck pretensions, the H3T is still a Hummer and is supposed to go offroad. That being said... Just get an original Colorado 4x4 and lift it a bit. That gives you even more width, and less length.

The H3T really has no place.

- Want to go offroad in something that isn’t a full-size truck, buy a Jeep.

- Want to go offroad in something that isn’t a Jeep, buy an H3.

- Want to go offroad in a truck, get a 1st-gen extended cab short box Colorado and lift.

All of those are way cheaper and would do the job better. But I still would love to have an H3T.

Fwiw... ain’t no HD Silvy coming down this trail. Too wide. Neither is an H3T for that matter. Too long.

I have a five cylinder Colorado z71 shortbed and it is so damn slow. I couldn’t imagine how slow the h3t would be with the five. Alpha or nothing in my mind...

Questions:

- 3.5 or 3.7?

- Rear axle ratio?

- Any mods (bigger tires etc)?

3.5 I think it is 3.55 gears I remember checking the VIN and it’s not 4.10 pretty much bone stock with a camper shell. My summer tires are 31s on steel wheels but it’s just as slow with the stock alloys and snow tires.
