The only thing that lets down my Land Cruiser’s interior is the ripped front seats. They’re by no means terrible, one smallish rip in each seating surface and wear to the driver’s bolster, but I hate ripped leather.

I also hate seat covers. They never fit well, they look like shit, it sucks. Except, apparently, these ones.

Those are Specter Off Road ‘Tuff Duck’ slip covers. They’re a great fit, supposed to be super durable and don’t fade, and the dark brown ones look good with my oak interior. Right now I’ve got really light tan leather, so going darker would be a plus for me.

Buuuuuuut there’s the price. $300 per row, plus $50 for a match armrest cover which I would obviously need. SOR offers discounted prices with a membership, signing up for that basically gets me the armrest cover for free. I’d be looking at $640 shipped to my door.

I’m wondering if maybe I should find an upholsterer to take a look at them first. Maybe have them change the seating surfaces to brown alcantara and use the good leather there to fix the bolster.

I don’t know. I’ve got a bonus check coming from work and I’m determined to spend it on the Cruiser, I just haven’t decided how.

My wife’s seat covers cost $$$$$$ I don’t think that price is bad at all if they’re a good quality.

It’d cost you like a dollar, and would still be a good idea even if you did get seat covers
