I dunno what its called but its delicious. my wife wont touch it.

Kinja'd!!!

1 lb ground beef

2 potatoes, sliced

1/2 an onion diced

a can V8

1 can diced tomatoes

metric shitton of garlic

Kinja'd!!!

*except when its a V10 or above, but those are not also drinks

one night in college I had made this. It goes int he oven in a casarole dish. I wasn’t really paying attention to what I was doing when i took it out of the oven and forgot the hot mitts. I had a split second to decide between the fingers and dinner. I chose dinner.

Looks like what I left behind after eating an iffy farm-fresh egg.

Well, with slightly different ingredients, it’s what we call picadillo con papas. Also good with some peas added in, too.

But, instead of V8, use a(nother) can of diced tomatoes (only if it needs it). Go a little easier on the garlic. Add some ground comino (cumin). Toss in a whole Serrano pepper (leaving it whole means it will impart the flavor of the pepper without any of the heat).

interesting, I always thought this would have been of French origin because it was a family recipe from my mother’s family which came from France. It does sound pretty similar.

Also I didn;t know leaving a pepper whole wont make things hot but will flavor it.

It’s subtle. You might get the teeniest little bit of heat, but it’s barely noticeable.

i love hot stuff but its not for everything. This is one I skip the heat. I go through garlic chili paste at a scary rate.

Looks yummy to me! But I rarely turn down any food with tomatoes.

Ooh! My mom makes that. I think it’s a french canadian dish. Try it in a crock pot next time.

I don’t know if it even has a name. It’s just a random stew. My family hails from Quebec.
