1. One of those hardcore BMW enthusiasts that finally have the money for one, but didn’t when it was new.

2.Posers.

3.Thinking that they will make even more in the long run.

I love the 1 Series Coupe, but no way I am paying those kind of money for a car full of electronics that cost 10%+ of the car value if they get borked.

Because depreciation wasn’t really a thing for these. The floor for a good one is about $45k and that’s with mileage above 50k.

In that case the buyer would be the one hitting the crack pipe

Eff, you could get two exceptionally nice E39 M5's for that coin

Because no one wants 65 running Toyota Paseos.

It’s simple, really. They’re desirable and they didn’t make very many.

Same reason people pay $100k over msrp for a Ford GT, or GT3RS

There was an ‘11 5-Series for sale at less than $20K.

Yeah, that’s kind of my point. Just drive it.

Man, these things were mean’t to be driven. If you buy one over MSRP, there is almost no chance you’ll drive it the way it was mean’t to be driven.

Strong words. I bet someone out there is thinking: I wish there were 65 running Paseos.

I get it before the M2 was released but now, gimme a warranty and a lower price

Yeah, I agree. The only thing the 1M has on the M2 is hydraulic-assist steering.

Depends on if it’s a Ferrari.

I mean, if you can roll it back to zero before the sale, a few dozen track days really don’t make much of a difference, amirite?

You can almost hum it: Roll it back, it’s “nice price” not crack pipe.
