Realizing she won’t get an awd entry-level luxury crossover with a manual, she will settle for an automagic.
She is looking at a 2014 RDX on Tuesday & a 2013 RX350 on Friday. She wants it to be reliable. So that narrowed it down to Lexus & Acura (maybe KIA?). She is not an enthusiast, so think vanilla. It has to be similar-ish size to her current Impreza, AWD, crossover, auto or manual.
What else can you think of?

The one she is looking at is mettalic red with the Technology Pkg. I’m hoping she likes it over the RX.

Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring. Not quite as sumptuous as the RX or RDX, but more athletic and better fuel economy. My wife and I have 11K on the 2016 we bought new and love it, and the updated 2018 model is coming soon, and we may pick one up shortly after launch

Mini Countryman can be had with a manual, AWD, and some decent luxury features. The new one just coming out shares a platform me wheelbase with the X1 so it’s not exactly tiny anymore.
