I read the books and have been listening to the audiobooks. The show is staying close to the books. I just listened to this scene last week. Seeing it helped fill in some of the gaps in how I pictured it in my head.

Definitely. I started the first episode and was hooked, binged the rest of the first season right before season two started. Very cool show.
The part when they were imprisoned on the Martian ship was pretty crazy too.

Even fanciful adherence to Newtonian motion makes me crack a smile, since it doesn’t often show up in science fiction television (it’s why I absolutely adore Knights of Sidonia Season 1).
That said, I think Battlestar Galactica still has the best space battles (sorry the video doesn’t capture the ambiance):

Absolutely love The Expanse. Best show from SciFi channel in fucking years. Easily my favorite space fight next to the Adama maneuver from BSG.
I wish Kinja supported .webms, because I’d post several of them that I’ve made for The Expanse.
