Sadly no, I think I might save up some cash and try to buy it at some point. The owner wouldn’t let me go back there for liability reasons, but I got a better look. Most of these cars are VERY solid.

If you can, I’d definitely consider getting it. Solid minis are hard to find, even in the UK, so this could make a very good project if it’s in decent condition.

Nah, (idk what that actually is.) zcars UK is back in business. They are planning on not only using hayabusa and honda engines, they are working on adding new ones like the ford duratec and ecoboost. cheapest way into an absurdly fun car I have ever seen. It is my new baseline dream car should my MBA not pan out in the money department.

And the thing is, it’s even more restorable/workable with than the 2CV. Body tanked = new body. Tube frame damage = easy repair or new tube frame. Drivetrain issues = mostly 2CV parts. It just needs to be had by somebody as a starting point. I would restore the shit out of a Mehari.

Well, then it’s time to swap what’s left of the gauges, seat frames, unique drivetrain pieces, etc. etc. etc. to a new frame and body. It’s actually not hard at all and both frame and body are available. Brand. New. Not even all that expensive in the grand scheme of things.
