Oh my.
When I turned 16 the local Nissan dealer was advertising brand new hardbodies for something like $7400. I had half, but I couldn’t convince my dad to help me get a loan for the other half. Instead we pissed away more than that on a crappy Oldsmobile that got junked four years later.
