2007 F150 XL. This is as base of a base model as I’ve found yet. A well optioned work truck, I guess.
Cons
-remains of accident damage
-Blue Oval seems to be melting off the grille
-Rust on the rear wheel arches
-Possibly a replacement bed. You can see the white paint flaking off in the tailgate jamb area revealing Black paint
-White paint. The guy I did my Body/Paint apprenticeship under always used to say “If it ain’t right, paint it White”
Pros
-Doggo friendly Rubber floors
-An actual stick for the T-Case
-Newer Tires
-Fewer miles than Crusty (not by much but it counts!)
-Doggo friendly Vinyl seats
-Ridiculously low price for the year (hrm.. That may be a Con too.)
-White paint. It does look sharp and some rocker stripes and new wheels could dress it up a lot for cheap.

Kinda looks like the bed is a different white than the cab. It more of a bright white where the cab is off white.

Yeah.. That and the flaky paint is bugging me. It has to be a replacement bed with crappy paint. I’m betting this thing is ugly up close.

Yeah, but as long as the driver’s seat is still in one peice then it’s in better shape then most fleet trucks. White is what most white are models are/were.

Right? The interior isn’t full of duct tape and chew splatter. The steering wheel doesn’t look like OCD Beavers went to town on it and the rear seat looks like it was folded for most of it’s life.
It can’t be totally horrible. That price is what reasonably clean 97-03 trucks go for out here.
I’m trying to talk myself into and out of this thing at the same time.

I’m a ford fan but that 5.4 3v could be a basket of problems unless it got regular oil changes. If you hear clicking or ticking at idle, the variable cam phasers are shot and I’d run.

I worked for a Ford dealer in the summer of 2007 in their detail area. It was my junior year of high school. Anyway, these were my favorites to have to clean because I could just wipe everything down and it would look amazing inside. No pesky vacuum needed since there was no carpet.

I talked myself out of it this morning. By time I got done bringing scrap metal in and did my running around it was noon. Rockford is about 2 hours away and it doesn’t feel worth it.
