Scraped the shit out of my bumper today at lunch!! Didn’t see that damned pole. Oh well was already saving up for some body touch up over the summer.. guess it just became a higher priority.

A lot of it will probably buff out. I was at autocross this past weekend and a cold front was moving through with some storms. My paddock neighbor had a tent up, not staked, which blew into my car while I was out on course, working. Came back to see scratches up and down the side of my car, side mirror cocked backwards and a bunch of scratches right over the drivers side window.
I was able to buff out the majority of the scratches and know a good detailer can probably manage the rest. Biggest bummer is the tent hit the section over my driver’s side door so hard it put a small dent in :(. Going to be a tough spot for PDR.

no bumper should ever have a shiny finish. If you bump anything other than a pillow with shiny finished bumper, it is no longer shiny and you have to... re-touch up...
Screw that. Get some sand paper and make it all sanded finish :)

I live in salt city where if there’s a flurry the roads are salty. I want my car to last a few more winters so I get a bit obsessive in the winter. It drops to weekly in the summer. It’s also helps I have unlimited car washes and I pass the place daily so it’s super convenient and easy.

I live in the San Francisco Bay area where a 46-year-old GMC van that should have rusted itself to death 44 years ago lives on. They say there are a bunch of Mormons in Salt Lake City.
