Kinja'd!!!

Just received my first professionally manufactured boards. I have CNC etched a couple of boards in the past but it is really cool to see a board I designed with proper solder masking and silk-screening. Now on to the soldering and programming (followed by 10 hours of watching a battery discharge so I can calibrate the damn thing).

Your vias connected to the U1 pin 2 and “name” pin 1 pads are giving me twitches. They’re going to theive the solder...but I surmise you’re going to be hand soldering these, but still, I got an eye twitch.

Happy soldering!

The vias close to pads are all directly connected to the pad so it doesn’t really matter if they steal a bit of solder. That IC labeled Name is a TI BQ34z110pwr gas gauging chip (awful manufacturer libraries for Eagle are awful). Should be fun trying to solder that one as it is highly static sensitive and heat sensitive.

Looks like OSH park? I’ve been very pleased with their boards. Very satisfying to take the board you’ve spent days on staring at in Eagle and hold it in your hand.

Yup. We use OSH for all our boards for formula hybrid here.
