Although the Huayra Roadster has now been announced, I still find myself admiring the curvature of the Huayra Coupe.

It’s been nearly seven months since I was last at this dealership, to shoot the Huayra BC and Zonda R which I’ve shared previously, and a lot has changed since then. The space is much more open than it once was, giving prospective customers better opportunities to take in the cars present in the showroom. What offices haven’t been tucked away in the back are now either encased in glass or completely open. But we’re not here to evaluate office spaces, are we?
(for the record, the Amalgam diecasts are now scattered throughout the office which is a tad disappointing)

This 2015 Pagani Huayra Coupe, chassis #61 of 100 or Ella as she is affectionately known, is one of the earliest cars to receive the Pachetto Tempesta (Tempesta Package.) What this package entails has been thoroughly covered by the DaVinci video some of you have no doubt seen so I’ll leave that here for now.

You could say Ella is a bit of a world traveller, having just returned from Japan after taking part in the third Pagani Raduno event late last year. Dubbed “Touge Run”, the rally took took the group from their starting point in Tokyo through the myriad of touges (including Hakone) and several other iconic locations (Tatsumi PA). No trip to Japan would be complete without a track day, and what better place than Fuji Speedway!

Ella has been in Canada before, but this time around she would grace the presence of several hundred thousand spectators as part of the Canadian International Auto Show. You see, it’s our nations 150th birthday and Pfaff Pagani (Pagani Canada) made sure to have something special lined up. Unfortunately, the lighting in that portion of the show wasn’t the best and I had come to terms with the fact that I may never get to admire her at her best.

Lo and behold I’m browsing Instagram one day and I see a post that she’s at McLaren Toronto for the week, away from the horrid lighting of the MTCC. Knowing I had the next morning off, it would be a crime to not pay her a visit before she’s off on her next adventure.
There I was the following morning, in a relatively quiet showroom, alone with Ella and all the freedom that comes with it. I suppose having more space and not being able to access the interior made this shoot a lot easier than the BC, though it could as easily be the lack of those intrusive barriers.
I really didn’t know where to start. The Argentine Blue paintwork and all the carbon pieces that compliment it were seemingly more detailed than a week prior, at least under this lighting. The blue was incredibly deep and the carbon weaving as perfect as ever, including of course the new splitter and diffuser that is part of the Tempesta kit.
The interior is your standard Huayra affair - contrasting tan-white leather with milled aluminum and exposed carbon throughout. In the words of Alejandro Salomondrin, former 730S owner: “Horacio Pagani builds timeless pieces of art.”
In Ella’s original spec, the blue and white exterior was paired with the standard silver split spoke wheels but the Tempesta kit swaps them out with these newer wheels, in a beautiful gold no less. Both lighter and larger (20in front, 21in rear) than the standard items, these new shoes add that extra bit of colour to the already extraordinary exterior.
The ceramic brakes and white brake calipers remain unchanged, though hidden just behind are the brand new dampers to cope with the slight difference in downforce the Tempesta package produces. Fun fact: the aerodynamic portion of the Tempesta elements was handled by fellow Italian firm Dallara, world-renown manufacturer of carbon-tubbed racecars in the single-seater open wheel and closed cockpit prototype sectors.
I’m not entirely sure where the new diffuser begins (a stunning piece of carbon work it is) but being Pagani, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up being the entire rear portion of the clamshell. Compared to the carbon work I’m used to seeing out of Multimatic, these Pagani items are truly something else.
Here you get a better view of the TOUGE RUN badge that Ella wears, a token of her adventures in Japan. Wherever the next Raduno goes, I’m sure it will be an exciting and memorable trip.
Rounding out the Tempesta package is the new titanium exhaust, lighter and better flowing which coincidentally leads to better performance as well. No doubt it sounds amazing, but it does look slightly out of place in the carbon work. The blue-purple hue of the heat-treated titanium does give off a very Japanese tuner feel.
A few more moments to take in the small details. The directional carbon weave matches up perfectly everywhere! This particular M158 V12 isn’t one of f1mike’s (Michael Kubler) engines but I have no doubt in my mind the master engine builder who crafted it created a truly special motor.
The slightest bit of negative camber is hidden pretty well with the curvature of the body work - I actually hadn’t noticed it until now.
It’s difficult to capture just how far the front splitter extends past the nose of the car, but just like on the BC it is quite large and very aggressively angled. There are no canards to speak of, so the DRLs are moulted into the middle portion of the grille instead.
While not as crazy as the full carbon of Pfaff’s demo car or the King spec, the subtle (if you can call them that) contrast against the blue paint is very pleasing. The white striping is also a very nice touch.
And that’s it! Another beautiful car, and another shoot in the bag. I loved every minute with Ella, and I hope it showed in these photos. Looking forward to what’s to come this summer, though where it goes from here is anyone’s guess. Knowing Pfaff there’s an endless assortment of cool stuff across their many teams and buildings, so fingers crossed something from Geneva makes its way over here soon. (I’ll settle for a racecar too!)

Of course, Pfaff Pagani sharing the same space as Pfaff McLaren means there is always an exciting assortment of other cars in the showroom. It’s a given that the Super Series would be present, but to see a handful of Sports Series cars adds a nice splash of colour to the dealership. I was especially captivated by this 570GT in Pacific Blue, with Silver GT cast wheels.
This 650S Spyder caught my attention as well - a Vorsteiner kitted example that was in the eyes of the local car scene for a short period last summer. I had only seen it on one occasion but was surprised to see it here nonetheless.

But back to the 570GT - these wheels!! I love the redesigned rear deck and glass, coming from the 570S, but something about multispoke wheels and the contrasting spec take this to the next level. (note: this was the launch spec of the GT the last time I visited the config)
The way the cars are angled didn’t make for the best photos, but for once there was not a cloud in the sky and a lot of natural light shone through.
A 570S in Vermillion Red isn’t a bad choice either, though I would pick Volcano Red myself.
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I’m fairly certain I’ve seen this GT350R before!

Awesome write up and beautiful pictures. I always come back to the Pagani in Forza and just stare at it. I need to see one in person.

Exquisite photography as always - I didn’t get to take in much of the details at the AutoShow either, and your photos show details that press photos don’t often focus on.
