1988 seems to be about the time this kind of document became popular, likely due to affordable video cameras. It’s time travel now.

I love these kind of videos, here is one from Santiago in 1989 and there is a lot more Japanese and French cars compared to Brazil which seems to be all about VW’s. And of course where Brazil had the Fusca, we had the 2CV or “Citroneta”.

I drive on the streets the Kansas video shows almost every day, and suprisingly, if you substituted the Omnis and Preludes with Land Rovers and CR-Vs you’ve pretty much got what it looks like right now. Johnson County hasn’t changed much in 30 years, apparently.
Still, really cool to watch. Thanks for sharing.
