Well Oppo I got me a new phone that allows me to kinja better. Not the best solution but I am working my way back to it. With my Range Rover down and not wanting to beat the sw8 in the snow, I got a 405 I briefly owned back with a fresh set of Vredestein snow tires on it! It has been a fantastic car in the Maine snow. I have around 2500 trouble free miles on it so far and love it! I am going to give it to my father once the threat of snow goes away as his retirement fun car. Just checking in with my oppo people and saying hi! Now that I can post more than one picture here is a small dump of pics from the past month to catch up
505 in the middle of my engine and trans swap on the classic. Fired it up last week, driving up to the island again this weekend to grab it and daily it again. Below are some snow shots is the 405 and a thoroughly buried 505
The last shot is our island spot with 36 inches of snow in the drive. Got it all cleared out finally and will be working hard to make the permanent move up there within one year!

They keep finding me! I am on car overload so I need to be not car shopping but both my Peugeots landed in my lap for pretty much nothing. I had to pay my friend for the snow tires he put on the 405 after I gave it to him

I mean, really. I can count on one hand the number of that vintage Peugeots I’ve seen in my area... maybe ever. I’m quite sure I’ve never seen a 405 in person, in the States. Maybe one wagon, one time on the highway. Hell, I’m in New Hampshire it was probably 505.

Always great to hear from you! I still marvel at your Peugeot ownership....wish they were more common up here as I would pick up a 405 or 505 as a daily sometime. They do seem pretty damn reliable!

My 504 diesel wagon is still banging around town in heinous condition. I sold it mint and the guy I sold it to trashed it. Now some girl bangs it around. Too far gone now. And eccentric, yes. That’s me haha

Thanks! Great to hear from you too! My sw8 is at 272k and this 405 is at 215k. My 505 sti was at almost 300k when I sold that. They can be a little finicky but they are totally dd material if you know your way around a car!

Updates on my end? I’m Volkswagenless for the first time in 10 years and replaced that with a 2002 Lexus LS430 . I love it. Also bought a 2001 GMC Yukon XL to lug stuff around. I love it. Still have the 240D and that goes to a bodywork guy tomorrow to get the driver side floor replaced. Still love it.
People are healthy so all is good.
