What gem of a 997 did you land on?

997.1 C4S X51 that is loaded (full leather, exclusive paint, PCCB’s, etc), and an owner who kept it pristine and fanatically well maintained.

Right on - what’s the color and how much did it set you back (roughly) if you don’t mind. When I was shopping in 2015 the 997 was still high 30 or low 40s for a good car, have price fallen somewhat.
Wound up with a Z4MC which is a unique car - but the right 997 GTS or Boxster Spyder could bring me to the dark side. Prices are still lofty on those.

Cobalt Blue.
It really depends on the car and the options. Prices have actually been pretty flat, and I think have risen slightly for higher spec cars. mine falls within the range you specified. Miles are on the higher side, but it’s a high spec car that’s in excellent mechanical condition and the interior looks like it’s new. If the car had under 30k miles on it, it would easily fetch $50k.
A 997.2 GTS is gonna cost at least $60k, and that’s for one with over 50k miles. Don’t expect that to come down any time soon. Even base 997.2's prices are staying propped up.
I think this is a reaction to the 991 getting softer, and the 991.2 going with an all-turbo lineup. The purist crowd are buying up the good 997's.

Nice, congrats on the find. How long had you been searching (for real, not window shopping!).
Truth be told I don’t really need the GTS. I’d be just as happy with the wide flares of the C4 and a ducktail spoiler - then just rack on the miles!

Yeah, I’m seriously considering a ducktail and Fuchs wheels, though I read that Fuchs can’t fit PCCB’s.
I had been searching seriously and making inquiries for about six to seven weeks. Searching and reaching out every day. I started before I even sold the GSW back to Volkswagen.
