At one of my old jobs there was a house right on the corner that bought a pair of PT Cruisers after I bought mine. We used to wave at each other.

What exactly is that? A fancy carport?

No, it’s a crappy garage

This is the only time I’ve ever been curious about how many offspring some stranger has in their cars, so of course they don’t have those family stickers on the back. Is it one kid with lots of friends? Ten kids? Are the parents just Uber drivers? WE’LL NEVER KNOW

This family had better have more than 3 kids, otherwise that is a failure of a garage.

I ’ ve toyed with the idea of two vans in the fleet, even with just 2 kids (maybe 3, one day). So many car - camping, road - tripping, and lumber - hauling possibilities and you never have to juggle cars...either way, we ’ ll probably have two 3 - row vehicles at the same time while the kids are young, so it ’ ll be the same effect.

A retired couple near me has TWO Nissan Quests and a Dodge Ram (circa 1995, which the guy fully restored — bondo and paint — in the front yard like a bawss)

My parents had some friends with 9 kids. When they all had to go to the same place they took their three Geo Metro hatchbacks. The oldest son drove the third one.

That makes sense. We went with a truck for our utility needs but vans work just as well in most cases.

Yep, when they’re rated for 6 rear passengers, that equates to a pretty good payload when the seats are out. The Odyssey (just barely) fits 4'x8' plywood with the gate closed.

I used to have next-door neighbors with a pair of Saturn LS2 (V6) sedans.
