After struggling to get my fat hands for weeks into the the tiny small space where the blower resistor and blower motor were located, I finally got the heating/AC fixed in the wife’s car. Okay. Now, I need to get it to be able to change vents again, which I think might be located on the driver’s side, up underneath, again, in a small place that my fat fingers are going to have a hard time dealing with.

I love the new interior, but the unnecessarily long snout and the new engine don’t leave me thrilled. Toyota can wake me up when they get the 8 speed into the tacoma/4runner or bring over the 2.8 D4-D. Seriously, if it were me...I would prefer the old 4.0

HondaBro sums it up well. Its the same differential, just instead of the power making a 90 degree turn at the ring gear, its parallel with the transaxle...which of course is just a sideways transmission. Transaxle = transmission + axle.

It’s actually pretty clever - it’s a distributed file system, so we have four Dell servers that have a boat load of hard drives plugged into them that do nothing but run the storage. The rest of the computers on the network see them as one big drive that they can mount over the network. The drives can be hot-plugged and the servers are redundant so if a drive or server goes out, the system keeps running and we can swap in a replacement. Everything in server room is linked up with InfiniBand, so data is transferred on that network at something absurd like 100 GBps and then we link our workstations into that via GigE. Our previous system was around 30 TB, always full, and when it crashed everything went to shit for a day.
