Ideas needed!

A friend of mine used to work for an aircraft repair facility as a parts manager. Over the years, she accumulated a collection of spares, demos and non-functional/not reliably functional items pulled for replacement. Last night, she sent me home with these with orders to do something cool with them. So, what are your ideas. Of course, the questionable functionality of these means nothing important, but cool none the less. Like, maybe my little econobox DD needs an altimeter zip tied to the steering column, a-la those aftermarket tachs you usually see in muscle cars. Perhaps my motorcycle could benefit from an artificial horizon gauge. Surely the Oppo brain trust has some great ideas...

Make the air speed one a boost gauge.

I think they’d look good mounted in a nice dark wood and hung on the wall.

Something like this

Second row center is an Insane Clown Posse gauge. Apparently the need for ICP is currently zero.

My old man has quite a few of these as decorative bookends. I don’t think you have to do anything functional with them, they’re pretty cool on their own.

The best thing you could do is mail some of them to me for evaluation.

No that’s an indicator for how loud ICP is playing. Apparently there is a serious lack of ICP going on here.

“is it broken? It always reads zero.”

“No, that’s correct. There’s never a need for ICP”

I’d buy a nice rectangular piece of wood, and install them in a 3x2 landscape orientation after making the right sized holes. The wood would be painted matte white beforehand, on all sides. Modern art piece!

Use one of those turn / pitch coordinators as an inclinometer for your Hilux?

I’d install the altimeter and pitch gauges in my Jeep. The airspeed gauge would look cool on a motorcycle.

I think a pilot tube and functioning air speed gauge would be neat.

The I.C.P. gauge is just RPM? That would make a cool race car gauge. (I’d use it)

I wonder if the turn coordinator would work in a race car? Definitely would be neat on a bike.

The altimeter would be neat for rallying too. Like long distance running. Maybe to go with carb tuning.

(These are all the reasons I’d want a set lol)

the guy on the front page could of used one. then he could of had sweet bragging rights, instead of ONLY being able to say that in the picture he cleared the water tower, and the marquee sign. “ yes, according to my aftermarket(name brand here) altimeter, i cleared 29 feet into the air” “the pitch indicator, let me know i’d be coming down hard on the right, at a solid 50 knots, according to the airspeed indicator”........

Oh man, with some microcontrollers you could make a badass flight simulator...or just a really cool clock/weather station
