It’s awesome, not very surprising, but still awesome.

It’s very close to the concept which, I think, is great.

No info on that yet but I kind of doubt it. Though I really hope Renault will offer one.

There aren’t many new cars that I’m waiting to see, but this is one of them.

Thank Mercedes Benz of America for the great lobby work.

You can’t offer a car like that auto-only, right? Sure, Alfa does it but I’m sure it’s cost them sales. The Alpine will have a turbo 4 from what I’ve read, so I think/hope it won’t be obscenely expensive.
I hope this competes with the likes of the BRZ and MX5 (coupé). Maybe priced a little higher, the design alone easily warrants that, but hopefully not by much. Maybe €35k including tax in Germany?

Fully agreed. I can’t wait to see one in person, sadly that will probably take a while, since going to Geneva is not an option, since it is too close to the Europpomeet to make financial sense.

I thought the same when the Clio RS came out only to be offered with the EDC transmission.
I think it will be up against the Audi TT and the next BMW Z instead of ‘just’ the MX5. 35k sounds about right.

I think I’ll either see it at the IAA in Frankfurt or at a Renault dealership. That’s if even will go on sale this year.

The First Edition will be between 55 and 60k in France, according to the Alpine website.

Yeah it’s beautiful.
I’m fully expecting it to be Alfa 4C-priced, but will be very surprised if it ends up closer to the Abarth Spider.
Either way I won’t be able to afford it, but I’ll be able to see them driving on the roads!

I expect it to be priced between 35k € to 40k €. Probably a bit more.
It’s also way out of my budget unfortunately, but nothing the used market can’t fix in the next 10 years.

I’m quietly hoping that the Alfa 4C does the same thing...
Oh, and a regular Giulietta QV as I can pinch the manual ‘box from that to make the 4C great again ;)

I can’t wait to see one of these. If we’re even getting them stateside, that is. The new Giulia is exciting in the same way - but these are even prittier and has been gone for even longer

They’re building 1955 of those Première Éditions, so I guess they’re counting on Cayman rather than Lotus volumes.

Me too now that the Cayman got a boring boxer 4 instead of a 6.

I could see that. But I don’t remember how this was being pitched? M3 fighter or Genesis coupe competition?

Can we talk about that beltline? Everyone seems to want a beltline that constantly climbs from the fenders to the trunk, for a sense of speed and “dynamism.”
I really appreciate cars that buck the trend, like the Audi A7, some Mercedes, and this.

That’s because the designers kept it close to the original A110 which in my opinion is gorgeous.
