Also any writer who cashes a check for writing a “terrible person won an award - how CRAZY!!!!” article needs to be ground into fertilizer to grow some food for starving children who will never have the opportunity to earn a living and get fat, making vapid, trite, bullshit articles for idiots on the internet.
Like literally, this is the laziest sort of bullshit. Every single year one can write an article of this type, without even giving a shit about it, and get paid. “Bad person does good thing well, gets rewarded - is society off its fucking rocker??!!!! CLICK NOW! CLICK NOW! REWARD ME FOR BEING A LAZY SHIT!”
In any event, maybe the academy needs a new category “People who aren’t good at making movies, but at least they’re nice people award”.

Just stop caring about non-essential things. That works for many things. My
tortoise seems to be living very happily and he doesn’t care about many
things. His things worth caring:
-food
-warmth
-female tortoises
-hiding places
-wandering outside during hot summer days

Are you referring to Casey Affleck? The dude was sexually harassing and assaulting coworkers while in the process of filming movies. Like, on set. I’d say his abhorrent behavior is related to his film career even if it may not have occurred during the same film he won an award for.
