Woke up this morning to two toast, and a bowl of porridge.
For lunch I had some chicken, mashed potatos, but only ate half.
Then I get the visit from my doctor, saying I could leave today.
Me and the wife were extremely happy, I was gonna be home for my daughters 3rd birthday.
My nurse passes by and tell here all this. She would not have that. She went to see the doctor and together decided that tomorrow was gonna be better for everyone. Since she had to show me how to change my bag, send all the information to the pharmacy. And since it was my first day eating and all...
During the afternoon my wife stops by, she shows us how to replace the bag ourselves. We actually agreed with her and her reasons.
So for supper I ate half a sandwich and felt bloated. Thinking it’s normal since it’s my first day eating after a week.
I tried and tried to take a nap after supper, but was freezing, or to hot, or my back was killing me. I made it all the way up to 7:30 and asked for my dose of morphine. Now the really really bad part.
I was getting cold sweats, then I coughed, and felt like I was going to be sick. Just had time to unplug my IV from the wall, I made it to to my bathroom. The moment I entered, I vomited In the toilet. While I was throwing up of course I noticed the colour and everything.OMG, I was puking shit!
Then I get to the sink and start rincing and spitting, only to vomit 3-4 more times. I don’t think I have to tell you gals/guys that this is the most disgusting thing that ever has happen to me in my life. Don’t even want to talk about the taste....
So after about 30mins of flushing out my mouth, used about half a bottle of mouth was after. I now feel way better. Not sad at all to still be here in the hospital. Don’t think I’m leaving tomorrow after all.( i’m ok with that)
So now clearly and honestly say something tastes like shit.

When I called my wife to tell her all this, she was so sad until I started making jokes about it then she felt better and knew I was relieved.

3 months, they are all telling me don’t worry it will go by so fast...
Then they tell me the other options, were also 6 months, a year and for life.

Reminds me when I had something something surgery. They said the pain should stop after a few weeks, and then she trailed off and said the pain also just might never go away. Four years later, it still hurts.
