I got some tires mounted at the local vocational high school the other day and tried to show them how to measure the holes on the rims. Mine are 5x4.75... Complete lack of awareness or interest. No, maybe one or two of them were mildly curious.

You dont always get the wheels you want. I bought a set of purple with chrome lipped wheels because they were so damn cheap. Painted them whie and called it a day.

The nuts are the issue, for me. I guess technically you could prep a rim in place but then the nuts have to be wrapped in tape and that will create a shadow in painting that will probably be where the paint starts to peel out first, and will look like shit and also it takes forever to get the tape off the nuts. Getting tape off nuts is a time consuming and painful process kids.

Yes about the wheels. The ones I have were $75 the set and turn out to have come from an S-10 pickup, which is appropriate. But I can’t bear to consider affixing the plastic center caps with the Chevrolet insignia to my GMC van.

Toss in a coworker who is actively trying to ruin you and assassinate your character and get you terminated because no reason and it can make for a bad week. +1 if you never met them before twelve weeks ago. +2 if they can get you escorted out of your workplace on paid administrative leave over unsubstantiated allegations. +3 if you don’t get to have the allegations read to you. +4 if you are a male teacher and they can make things up and call CPS and try and get you investigated. There are ways to earn +5 and +6, but I don’t want to post them here. Paid vacation with a headache.

I’m sure a Toyota V8 has room for improvement, I like them, I remember when they came out and I thought it was like nothing I had ever seen. I see some cool Soarers in Japan, would be a nice tourer. I’m sort of a Nissan person I guess now, I may get a used G37s someday.
