NASTY dislocation Saturday. My right arm is in a sling. Despite me being left-handed, mousing is just weird . I’m also down from 101 WPM to probably 101 CPM. Errors everywhere.

Butts.

+1 for left-handed mousing being weird. I’m so strongly left handed that even just picking something up with my right hand almost requires more dexterity than I have, and I still have no idea why anyone would use a mouse with their left hand.

Gather ‘round boys and girls! It’s story time!

Seriously, you go to the effort of telling us it’s NASTY but you don’t bother to share the story?

Everyone I’ve met who have had a knee or hip replacement says they wish they had done it years ago. There’s something to be said for being able to walk without pain.

I broke my right humerus snowboarding a few years ago. Brushing my teeth left-handed was by far the most challenging problem.

Well I can’t exactly type novels right now lol

It’s a 10 year old injury. Dislocated back then by grabbing a doorhandle and sneezing. It’s been dislocating a lot although I’ve been able to reset it but not this time. I was at my birthday party manning the grill. I joyously flipped my friends off and, in doing so, dislocated again. couldn’t get it back in. Friends helped.

I went to the doc and got images a couple months ago. No damage but he said I should spend time in a sling then do some PT to get it back right. Guess I’m doing that now

Very true. It’s been hard to watch her for months, lots of pain, but she’s been refusing to slow down. The guy handling it has been recommended to her by about seven different people we know as the best in the business, so she’s in good hands.

Time to get one of those goofy one handed keyboards.

I know, right? My mom is a big worrier, and she’s had this on her mind a lot. Best if there isn’t anything to worry *about* - which, purportedly the guy is a real pro, and apart from poor circulation my mom’s in pretty good health - she’ll be 64 in a week and not on any medications apart from pain meds for the knees.

Sorry to horn in on your post, but what other joint pain posts was I going to get to hijack this morning?

Bwahhahahahahhaha! You dislocated your own arm flipping someone the bird while flipping burgers on the grill! There’s got to be an xzibit joke in here somewhere!

I feel your pain, my shoulders dislocate easily (read: every time a play frisbee). It forced me to quit wrestling in high school because my doctor said I’d have to have surgery if I dislocated them again.

Bad horseback riding accident in the 80s - tore a bunch of muscles on my right, yet pressing the clutch with my left foot caused excruciating pain. Had to swap cars with a buddy and drive auto for a month.

My mom (84) fell last week - in hospital w/ broken scapula and collarbone. Now we have to worry about them.
