The idea of riding a personal quad-rotor is neat.
The idea that a gust of wind outside could cause you to fall off, then get finely chopped by the un-shielded rotors before falling to your doom in a cloud of chunky red mist, is not.

Uh, anyone else notice that in every single one of these videos they never let us hear the real sound they make. And, flying inside a building with you know, vertical load-bearing posts is a really bad idea. Hitting one of those with a spinning blade would be a very bad thing for both the building and the pilot. Outdoors on a grassy field early in the morning when wind is low would be much much safer, at least for the building.
